Given the measures taken by the Irish government to slow the spread of Covid-19 comedy has been suspended for the foreseeable future and my April tour dates have been rescheduled as part of this. DEVASTATING! Some new dates are below.
This pandemic is very serious, I thought i had it this morning. I woke up with a headache and felt awful I ran to the kitchen to get the thermometer and passed the half-empty bottle of gin and the two bags of doritos I ate in front of the telly last night. Anyway… I stopped panicking.
These cancellations are of course hard to take, I have a morbidly obsese cat on €25 a kilo food which I will now have to drown. To be fair it’s for the best, she doesn’t seem happy at all on this restricted diet. She was much more fun when she was a big bastard eating spaghetti bolognaise and Cadbury’s creme eggs.
Anyway .. where was I? TOUR DATES… yes my solo tour dates in April have been postponed and are being rebooked with the same venues. All tickets will remain valid for the new dates which will be part of the main tour in Autumn, so you can hang on to them or of course you can get refunds ..”DO WHAT YOU LIKE” (falls on the ground screaming crying)
I will post the new dates as I get them and keep this website updated. But for now:
Venue, Ratoath (originally Scheduled for 17th April) is moved to 19th September.
Dolans, Limerick (originally Scheduled for 18th April) is moved to 23rd October.
I have been on tour with Neil Delamere since January and for the moment we are on pause and some of the dates have been moved. But keep if you have tickets keep your eye on local information or on Neil’s social media. He’s very funny and posts clips and behind the scenes stuff. I tend to be more hap-hazard. Recently I had a drink and called an MMA fighter a dumb meat-headed fuck. But look it’s horses for courses .. isn’t it?
Anyway where was I .. COVID-19 … YES! Please stay away from gatherings (use your time wisely drink at home and sext your exs, those photos don’t stay on the internet don’t worry), wash your hands (seriously do that anyway you ANIMALS!!) and stay safe (relatively.. you only live once..isn’t that true? it’s so true). Obviously we are all very young and not at risk but you need to think about people more vulnerable and while it might be tempting to pop off your parents for that sweet inheritance lump-sum, it would be very bad karma. Would it though? No it definitely would.
Also if you are staying isolated feel free to grab the moral high-ground with people who are being irresponsible. On Saturday night I logged on to the Temple Bar Live Webcam and watched a hen night stagger out of the Temple Bar and into a crowd of lads while passing around a big inflatable penis for everyone to have a go on and not a DROP of hand sanitiser in sight. I felt very smug sitting at home under a pile of sweet wrappers .
Anyway, that is life for the foreseeable. It will be tough on comedians so please listen to our podcasts, buy our tickets when we’re back and if we happen to be packing your bags in Tescos …don’t make a thing of it ok?!
