Stand-Up Special!

At the moment I’m on tour around Ireland again opening for Neil Delamere. Also I’ll be heading off to the UK in February to do some more shows opening for Sarah Millican on her “Outsider” tour.

On the 7th February I’ll be recording a stand-up special for RTE Radio 1 in the Project Arts Centre at 8pm. The show “Gearoid’s Home Truths” will be a little different to a normal stand-up show. It will also feature some sketches with West-end actress Roisin Sullivan and Kathleen O’Rourke (writer/creator/voicer of Oscar Nominated “Granny o’Grimm”) will play my mother who is listening at home!

If you would like to be in the audience you can book here

Aindreas De Staic is also recording that night and the recording will be hosted by Fred Cooke.

Any News Gearóid?  Well.. funny you should mention it ….

Myself and Chris Kent will bekentnfarrelly-page001 doing a double-bill show as part of the Tiger Dublin Fringe from Tuesday 15th to Saturday 19th September and tickets are available for that here

Chris’s show is brilliant and we’re on before Foil Arms and Hog and I saw their show in Edinburgh and it is hilarious. So make a night of it….you’re worth it.

Thanks to everyone that came to see my show “Gearóid Less Travelled” at the Edinburgh Fringe festival. Especially Liz, Tim and Dan who managed my my show and watched it no less than 27 times (nutters) and  dynamic duo John and Ben (right) who gave out thumb_IMG_6805_1024flyers for it every day and even on the last day still looked enthusiastic.. sort of.

I came back and did the comedy tent at Electric Picnic so I’m more or less voice-less at the moment. No bad thing I’m sick of listening to myself talk. If anyone wants me I’ll be on the couch with a “Law and Order SVU” box set and a palette of pringles.

Vodafone Comedy Festival

unnamed2015691547705Next week I’ll be part of the amazing lineup of the Vodafone Comedy Festival. This is one of the highlights of the comedy calendar. Every year the lineup is phenomenal and this year is no different. John Mulaney, Nick Kroll, Nina Conti, Luisa Omielan, Nick Helm, Jon Richardson.. they’re all bloody brilliant. I can’t wait to go through their phones while they are on stage.

I’ll be in the Big Red on Saturday with Tommy Tiernan (CLANG) and Nick Kroll (CLATTER) … No pressure at all.. I’ll just be back from my holidays so I’ll be tanned and grumpy.  Then on Sunday I’ll be in the Cherry Top with Jason Byrne, Nina Conti, Zoe Lyons and Fred Cooke (that guy I bully online). Tickets are flying out the door so it’s probably best to book before you go.

No I can’t get you in for free… but top tip; the burgers are always amazing.

Also there is a new episode of fascinated available on Soundcloud and iTunes. My guest is Hit Factory producer Mike Stock from Stock, Aiken and Waterman. He is one of the worlds most successful songwriters… so there! Subscribe on iTunes and you will get these episodes first… and its all FREE!

Galway Arts Festival

I will be taking a new show “Gearóid Less Travelled” to the Edinburgh Fringe in August. In the meantime I will be doing very cheap previews of it all around the place so keep an eye on the gigs page. artsfestival1I’ll be doing a lunchtime show in the Galway Arts Festival next Wednesday (July 15th) in the Ruby Room of The King’s Head pub on Shop Street. Come along… we’ll have a lovely time. The room can get warm so  bring a nice fancy fan with you if you want to stay cool… a magazine or a few leaflets also works but it’s nowhere near as classy…..
